DocTools is designed for local processing. The app does not upload your document contents, image contents, file names, file paths, PDF passwords or selected file URIs to PJLabs servers.

Data We Process

Document and media files you open within DocTools are processed locally to provide features such as PDF generation, image compression, document scanning, file conversion, and PDF security tools. Temporary files may be created in app-specific storage and are removed when no longer needed.

Permissions We Use

DocTools uses Android Storage Access Framework system pickers. Users explicitly choose files or folders. The app does not declare broad storage permissions.

Storage and File Handling

On Android 10 and above, DocTools uses scoped storage, the Storage Access Framework, and MediaStore to access files you select. DocTools uses a FileProvider to securely share files with other apps when you choose to export or share output files.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

Release builds may collect limited app usage analytics such as screen views, tool usage, file counts, processing duration, success or failure status, and non-identifying settings choices. Crash diagnostics may be collected to help identify and fix app stability issues. Debug builds disable Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection.

Firebase Analytics Advertising ID collection and ad personalization signals are enabled for this app to serve personalized ads.

Data Sharing

DocTools does not sell personal information. DocTools does not share your documents with third parties. Analytics and crash diagnostics may be processed by Firebase or Google for app measurement and diagnostics.

Children's Privacy

DocTools is not directed to children under the age of 13. PJLabs does not knowingly collect personal information from children through DocTools.

Your Choices and Security

You can control app permissions from Android Settings. Your documents remain on your device unless you explicitly share them using Android share features.
